This seminar explores the fundamentals of traumatizing factors in the context of disabling living conditions. People with disabilities represent a particularly high-risk group with regard to trauma.
The lecturer introduces the theory of psychotraumatology, taking into account the developmental conditions of children under disabling circumstances. Practical ideas and methods for supporting and stabilizing affected children, adolescents, and adults are presented.
A sensitive dialogue between the educator and the person being supported is always essential. Through reflection exercises and the collaborative development of possible courses of action, you will gain confidence in this process.
