Support and advice center for girls* and young women* (10-27 years)

The drop-in center and counselling service offers girls* and young women* aged ten to approximately 27 the opportunity to receive anonymous, free counselling from therapeutically trained professionals* without long waiting times. We advise girls* on all topics and with varying frequency depending on their needs.

Please note: Our staff only schedule appointments directly with the girls, and only in exceptional cases through third parties. Experience shows that scheduling appointments independently is already an important step towards a successful counseling process.

Topics that girls* and young women* bring to us include:

• physical, psychological or sexual violence,
• Problems at home, in friendships or in relationships,
• Eating disorders,
• Self-deprecation or self-harm,
• Bullying and exclusion,
• sexual orientation and gender identity,
• Alcohol or drugs in their environment
• Forced marriage
• "Loverboy" method
• Female genital mutilation (FGM)

and many other topics that concern them.

All girls* who want to talk about themselves and their life situation are invited. All consultations are anonymous and free of charge; the counselors* are bound by confidentiality. We can offer counseling in German, English, Kurdish, Turkish, and Arabic. If counseling is needed in a language not represented by our team, an interpreter* can be provided. Girls* are welcome to bring friends or another person with them.

The free services and advice are aimed at girls* from Bremen.

Our commitment to the girls* is reflected in our work by the fact that they only come to us of their own volition, that we listen to them and take their perspective seriously, without abandoning our own viewpoint and expertise. The girls* themselves decide whether they come to us and what they want to share.
