The crisis center of Mädchenhaus Bremen eV is an emergency shelter for girls*.
It is part of the youth welfare services offered by the city of Bremen and is the only facility with an anonymous address. Referrals are made through the Office for Social Services, which can be reached 24/7 via the Child and Youth Protection Helpline at (0421) 6991133. Initial contact can also be made anonymously via the Girls' Emergency Helpline at (0421) 341120.
The crisis center is a welcoming and friendly house in a quiet residential area in the center of Bremen. It has space for eight girls* aged twelve to seventeen. They are cared for by a team of seven social workers*, one of whom is available to the girls* around the clock.
The services are provided in accordance with Section 42 of the German Social Code, Book VIII (SGB VIII) in conjunction with Section 34 of the German Social Code, Book VIII (SGB VIII).
