Holiday workshop for children aged 7-12 years
Turtles – ancient wanderers between land and sea.
How old can a turtle get? Why are sea turtles endangered? Can we feel the wisdom of these "ancient wanderers" through dance?
In our week-long summer camp, we embark on a journey of discovery into the fascinating world of turtles. Using dance theatre, urban dance, and other creative methods, we explore questions such as:
- What role do turtles play in the balance of the oceans?
- How does one "dance" protection, patience, and longevity?
We explore topics such as species conservation, marine ecology, and the idea that the Earth also has rights. Using various dance styles – contemporary dance, mask theatre, urban dance, and hip hop – you will develop your own "turtle stories" and choreographies.
When the weather is good, we dance on the dike meadows by the Werdersee lake in direct contact with nature.
