Music theater summer holiday camp
for children and young people aged 9-16
What does your own radio show sound like? During the last full week of summer vacation, 25 children are developing their "Radio Waller Welle" together – a live radio show as a podcast in the Theater im Volkshaus.
Whether music, presenting, news, interviews, reports, commercials, or their own stories: participants design their program according to their own ideas and interests. They receive professional support from actor Alexander Hauer (theater workshops), composer Felix Reisel (recording studio & music), Maic Wrehde (band work), and a dance instructor for dance and performance.
In an open and creative atmosphere, spaces are created for getting to know one another, experimenting, and developing together. The children can discover their own talents, implement new ideas, and experience how many individual contributions come together to create a radio program.
The finished program will subsequently be published on SoundCloud.
August 3rd to 7th, 2026 (Mon-Fri), daily 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

To conclude the week, the participants will present their program in a live radio broadcast directly from the stage of the Theater im Volkshaus – the public is expressly welcome!
