Work and Future eV – Church Forum

The Bremen-based, church-affiliated association "Arbeit und Zukunft eV" (Work and Future) has made it its mission to address unemployment and the future of work. The association was founded in response to the bankruptcy of the Bremer Vulkan shipyard in 1997, which left several thousand employees unemployed at once.

Arbeit und Zukunft eV is committed to more social justice and the participation of all people in social life.

Every two years, the association awards the social prize “Work and Future Drum” to companies, institutions or individuals in Bremen who enable and improve the integration and participation of severely disabled and/or particularly impaired and disadvantaged people in qualification, employment and work.

New projects are encouraged and existing ones supported. Events, exhibitions, and publications are promoted and initiated. The association members make this possible through their membership fees.
