Our association is a nationwide advocacy group for binational and increasingly multinational families and partnerships. For over forty years, we have been committed to the right of all people to a self-determined family life.
As a lobbying organization, we have made it our mission to give binational couples and families a voice in the public sphere and in politics. As a non-profit family association, we work at the intersection of family, education, and migration policy.
We actively contribute to shaping the future of coexistence in a multicultural society. We are committed to equal coexistence on a level playing field. Even after almost four decades, our demands remain as relevant as ever: for legal equality derived from a shared center of life and independent of the partners' nationality. We are working towards the acceptance of bicultural relationships as a societal norm.
Our association is as diverse as society itself. What unites us is our rejection of a value-laden division into "us" and "them" and of stereotypical views of origin and culture. We want to highlight the resources and potential of our immigrant society and encourage people to embrace and utilize cultural diversity as an opportunity through creativity, ideas, and innovative concepts.
