Mahndorf Community Center

The Bürgerhaus Mahndorf is the district cultural center in the southeast of Bremen, serving the Mahndorf district and the surrounding areas.

We organize cultural and social activities for the residents of the district and collaborate with social service agencies in Bremen as multipliers. We also operate a daycare center with 60 places, currently divided into three preschool groups.

Our building, with over 1,200 square meters of usable space, a large banquet hall, community café, group rooms, creative workshop and large garden, is used throughout the year by around 45 groups and courses in the hobby and creative sector, self-help groups, discussion groups, offers from the areas of health and exercise, music, literature, dance, etc., as well as by a children's and youth circus and for many cultural events.

Educational holiday programs for children, neighborhood festivals and a wide range of cultural offerings promote community life in the district.

Däumling Daycare Center

The Däumling daycare center opened in the 1997/98 kindergarten year and is a facility of the Mahndorf Community Center Association. Surrounded by our extensive green space and gardens, the daycare center is centrally located in the Mahndorf district.

The daycare center has three groups in the preschool section. Each group consists of 20 children aged 3 to 6 years and is supervised by two qualified early childhood educators. In addition, a qualified substitute teacher provides supplementary support, and replacement staff is available as needed.

Opening hours:

Mondays – Thursdays: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Fridays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
