Citizens' Park Association

One of Bremen's most popular destinations is located right in the heart of the city: the Bürgerpark. It offers a unique opportunity to spend leisure time in a green setting amidst a major city. Visitors stroll through dense, wooded areas and generously laid-out parkland with interesting vistas that demonstrate a high level of landscape architectural skill.

However, the uniqueness of Bremen's Bürgerpark is based on the commitment of Bremen's citizens, who have supported the Bürgerparkverein (Citizens' Park Association) in cherishing and maintaining their park since 1866.

Since the private Bürgerparkverein (Citizens' Park Association) was formed from the "Committee for the Afforestation of the Bürgerweide" (Citizens' Pasture), the association has been responsible for independently managing and maintaining the Bürgerpark and securing its funding. Without its members and supporters, the association would not be able to fulfill this obligation.

To ensure you can continue to enjoy your park for many years to come, become a member of the Bürgerparkverein (Citizens' Park Association). The minimum membership fee is €15 per year. You can also choose to increase your contribution according to your generosity and financial means.
