A place for meeting and communication

The FQZ, as a multi-generational center, is a place for encounters and communication. With a diverse range of intergenerational and intercultural programs, it serves as a resource for people in the neighborhood, addressing a wide variety of life situations and questions. Seven organizations/institutions together form a sponsoring association that supports and manages the center.

The premises (media room and orangery) are not only used for the various services offered by the house, but can also be rented for events and celebrations.

The meeting point Café in the FQZ, with its daily changing lunch menu and other culinary delights, current daily newspaper, board games, a well-stocked book exchange shelf and a children's play corner, is a popular meeting place in the building.

The attractive outdoor area with the café terrace and the multigenerational playground invites you to linger not only in bright sunshine, but also offers a place with real quality of stay and opportunities for exercise for young and old.

Regular counselling, support, education and leisure activities, as well as occasional events, contribute to increasing the quality of life and enjoyment of life for people in the neighborhood, and qualification and employment measures within the facility support participants in their (re)integration into working life.

Our diverse program offers activities for all ages. Our focus is on children aged 0-12, as well as adults and seniors in the neighborhood

  • Our playground offers even the youngest children great opportunities to slide, dig, swing, romp around, etc.
  • At the parents' meeting, parents have the opportunity to exchange ideas while their children between 0 and 18 months old can play in a supervised setting.
  • The children's afternoon invites young and old to participate in joint activities such as crafting, playing, baking and much more.
  • In our mobile phone, PC and tablet meeting, we support and train the older generation in the operation and daily use of the devices.
  • Regularly held lectures on topics such as healthy eating, parenting issues, etc. are aimed specifically at parents.
  • In addition, the JobCenter comes to our house once a month to advise residents on questions relating to unemployment benefits and also provides support with the application process.
  • With our holiday program for children aged approximately 6-8 years, we offer children activities during their time off from school, such as sports and exercise, and artistic activities.
