The NABU Landesverband & Stadtverband Bremen eV has been active in Bremen since 1995, although the first nature enthusiasts in Bremen organized themselves in the Bund für Vogelschutz (Association for Bird Protection) as early as 1909.
Bird Paradise Vahrer Feldweg: Since inheriting the property, the NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union) has its headquarters on Vahrer Feldweg in Sebaldsbrück. Here, on 30,000 square meters, we demonstrate in a very practical way what (almost) everyone can do for nature. One thing is for everyone: Get involved! The former Fördelmann ornamental nursery in Sebaldsbrück is becoming a refuge for both people and nature. In 2013, the NABU inherited the 30,000 m² and has been transforming it into an environmentally friendly habitat ever since. Visit us at Vahrer Feldweg 185!
The NABU Bremen office: Our office is idyllically situated on the inherited grounds of a former nursery between the Sebaldsbrück and Im Holterfeld allotment garden associations, not far from the racecourse and the Schlossparkbad swimming pool. Here, we are developing a nature experience area on 30,000 m² – please help!
NAJU Bremen | The Nature Conservation Youth: Our NAJU takes care of children's and youth groups, holiday camps and weekend activities. These include trekking tours with donkeys, crossing the Hamme River in grass boats, and lots of fun in nature.
Dreptefarm School Camp: Environmental Education between Bremen and Bremerhaven – Dreptefarm is a home for school classes as well as for old, endangered breeds of farm animals. On over 6.6 hectares, the NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union) brings children into contact with nature and explains it to them. School trips and NABU holiday camps offer pure adventure.
