Accompanying. Until the very end. The outpatient children's hospice service supports families with a seriously ill or disabled child, as well as families in which a parent is receiving palliative care – in the familiar home environment in Bremen and the surrounding area.
Trained volunteers support families from the moment of diagnosis, tailoring their support to the individual needs of each family. This support can provide relief and create more free time in everyday life.
Possible offers include:
- Childcare when a parent is ill or otherwise burdened
- Accompanying the sick child and/or siblings
- Support for grieving parents
- joint activities and ventures
- Homework help
- Time to play, talk and be together
- Conversations and support for the whole family
- Supervision as part of a holiday program
The focus is on the children and their families, with their individual needs and wishes. The support provided can help ease the burden of daily family life and create opportunities for shared time.
