The companies Diakonische Jugendhilfe Bremen gGmbH, Alten Eichen -Perspektiven für Kinder und Jugendliche gGmbH, St. Petri Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gGmbH and Diakonische Kindertageseinrichtungen in Bremen gGmbH merged in 2020 to become Petri & Eichen, Diakonische Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Bremen gGmbH.
The diaconal children's and youth institutions have been working together for years under the umbrella of Diaconal Youth Services Bremen. As of September 1st, this collaboration will culminate in the joint non-profit limited liability company (gGmbH) Petri & Eichen.
In our new organization, more than 500 employees will work in 20 districts of Bremen. Our services include inpatient, outpatient, and day-care programs for children and youth. This includes 25 residential groups, seven day groups, and outpatient teams.
The two foundations St. Petri Orphanage of 1692 in Bremen and the Alten Eichen Foundation of 1596 are the shareholders of the new gGmbH.
We offer support for children, young people, and their families. Our services include residential, day-care, and outpatient support, as well as open youth work and childcare. You can find our facilities in Bremen in the districts of Osterholz, Tenever, Blockdiek, Hemelingen, Vahr, Findorff, Hastedt, Horn, Borgfeld, Schwachhausen, Neustadt, Huchting, Bremen North, Gröpelingen, Osterholz district, and Stuhr
