More and more professionals are confronted in their practice with racist, misanthropic and far-right attitudes and statements.
The nationwide specialist center for right-wing extremism and family (RuF) advises professionals in child and youth welfare services who encounter right-wing extremist attitudes in their work. The center also offers advice and support to individuals seeking help who are confronted with right-wing extremism in a family context.
The tasks also include the qualification of colleagues for independent consulting work in the subject area.
The specialist unit for right-wing extremism and family (RuF) has been part of the nationwide competence network for right-wing extremism prevention since 2020.
When their own children or close relatives become involved in the far-right scene, families are usually at a loss and overwhelmed by the problem.
Young people in particular are often drawn to the identification opportunities offered by the far-right scene. For parents, this immersion in the scene is often almost unbearable: they don't know how to react and, above all, where to find competent help.
But professionals in educational settings are also increasingly confronted with far-right or right-wing populist statements and actors. They often don't know how to respond appropriately. The specialist unit is available for professional support in this regard.
