Due to its prominent location and the spacious library square in front of it, the library represents the central place in the district.

International newspapers
At all computer workstations in our libraries, you can read international and national newspapers and magazines. The "PressReader" service offers up-to-the-minute news from approximately 100 countries in about 60 languages. Many newspapers can be read in a digital archive for up to 90 days after publication. Furthermore, you can use the PressReader app to access all magazines on the go.
Children's libraries
Children play a major role for us. That's why each of our locations has a dedicated children's section with a wide range of media. The selection is geared towards children's school and leisure interests and is presented in a child-friendly way. Of course, borrowing is free for children and young people. We're happy to help with any questions you may have about reading.
Learning and working spaces
Our libraries offer many spaces where you can work alone or in groups. We provide computer workstations and free Wi-Fi.
Computers and WLAN
All libraries offer modern desktop computers with OpenOffice applications and printing capabilities (black and white and color). With an active library card, you can use these for 4 hours per week.
Order media
Order your desired media to the library. Take advantage of our interlibrary loan service and order media from other branches to your library. This service is free of charge. We can also obtain books and journal articles from libraries outside Bremen for you for a small fee if they are not available locally.
