Counselling and Education Center for Girls* and Young Women*

The association “Gewitterziegen eV” is a meeting place for all children, teenagers and young adults (between 8 and 21 years old) who identify as MINTA* or FINTA*.

MINTA* and FINTA* stands for children, adolescents and adults who identify as "girl" or "woman", persons who are girls*/women* but are not (yet) read as such by their environment, who do not belong to one or no established gender category.

The association's headquarters are located in BremerNeustadt and as a team, we consider partisan, intersectional, queer-feminist and anti-discrimination work to be important.

Together with you, we create leisure and educational opportunities. We offer guidance and support in both joyful and challenging life situations. Our services are aimed at all MINTA* and FINTA* individuals, regardless of refugee or migration experience, social background, or income, to ensure easy participation.

We are open Tuesday through Friday. You can drop by anytime during our drop-in hours. The drop-in center is closed on public holidays and during school holidays. All other activities that take place on weekends or during school holidays are available upon request. Separate written registration is required for these activities.

Gewitterziegen eV is an association for the promotion of feminist girls' work and is a recognized provider of independent youth services in Bremen. The association's core activities have been implemented at the Gewitterziegen eV counseling and education center since 1991.

With our work, we aim to contribute to interrupting the reproduction of gender-specific and racist stereotypes as well as other forms of exclusion, in order to support the protection, self-determination and self-empowerment of affected persons.
