Bremen-South Day Clinic
Our day clinic services are located as close as possible to the patient's place of residence in the Bremen-Mitte, Bremen-Ost, Bremen-Süd and Bremen-West regions.
In the day clinics, treatment takes place on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; some day clinics also offer services on weekends. Based on an individualized treatment plan, multidisciplinary individual and group therapy is provided.
At the Buntes Tor counseling and treatment center, we treat people with mental illnesses and addictions from the southern district of the city. The Buntes Tor center houses the social psychiatric counseling service, the outpatient clinic, and the acute and regular day clinic.
Our teams consist of physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, psychologists, and social workers. For outpatient and day clinic programs, patients are continuously supported by a dedicated therapist. Our goal is to avoid inpatient treatment as much as possible by providing care close to home with familiar therapists.
Outpatient consultation and treatment
The Buntes Tor center houses the services of the social psychiatric service and the outpatient clinic.
- Information and advice for clients with mental health impairments or addiction problems, relatives, neighbors and institutions
- Diagnosis of mental illnesses and addictions
- Care and treatment of the mentally ill and addicted
- Individual, couple and family counseling
- Discussion groups
- Drug treatment
- Planning of further psychiatric or addiction treatments, including detoxification treatments
- Assessments
- Open consultation hours (including home visits) during opening hours, central crisis service 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and on weekends 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
All services are closely coordinated with other outpatient and inpatient care. Our outpatient clinic operates as a supplement to, and secondarily to, the services offered by private physicians and psychotherapists.
Day clinic treatment
In our day clinic, we offer partial inpatient treatment. This means that patients spend the day with us and return home in the evening. Admission to the acute day clinic is for the same reasons as full inpatient treatment.
Regular day clinic treatment takes place after an acute phase of illness. We offer the mentally ill patient an individualized therapeutic framework that incorporates their everyday life in order to overcome the acute crisis.

- Weekend opening hours: 10:00 to 13:00 for acute day clinic patients

- Additional services in the field of addiction: withdrawal treatment, motivational work, relapse prevention

Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm,
weekends from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (for acute day clinic patients).

The Crisis Intervention Service (KID) is available for emergencies on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on weekends and public holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.: 0421 800582-33
