Mobility services for senior citizens in the Bremen-Walle district
The German Red Cross (DRK) neighborhood bus transports elderly people and those with limited mobility, accompanied by a companion, to shopping, the cemetery, the hairdresser, and other destinations of their choice. It provides safe and personalized transportation within the neighborhood. Experienced drivers and qualified companions accompany the seniors to their destinations.
Thursdays, 9am-3pm
The bus runs once a week and can be requested by passengers, relatives, or doctors' offices. For transport for medical reasons, the doctor's office can issue a prescription (colloquially known as a "taxi voucher"). The German Red Cross minibus can easily reach even densely populated residential areas and provides safe and comfortable transportation, even in extreme weather conditions.
