The Bremen Health Collective (GeKo Bremen) is there for all residents of the Überseestadt district. It advocates for fair, locally accessible, and needs-based healthcare. At its core is a holistic understanding of health: in addition to medical issues, it also considers social and societal conditions that influence people's health and well-being.
The service is aimed at all residents of Überseestadt and is designed to provide low-threshold access to healthcare, advice, and support. It is particularly intended to reach people who have difficulty accessing the existing healthcare system.

The health collective follows a multi-professional approach. Various professional groups from the health and social sectors will work closely together and address health concerns jointly with the users. Counseling, prevention, health promotion, and medical care will be integrated. If needed, those seeking advice will be referred to appropriate specialist agencies and other support services.
Key topics include physical and mental health, prevention and health promotion, as well as social factors that can influence health. Networking with institutions and stakeholders in the neighborhood also plays an important role.
The goal of the health collective is to promote equal opportunities in health, reduce barriers to access, and strengthen people's health literacy. Residents should also have the opportunity to participate in shaping health-promoting structures and services in their neighborhood.
