Violence has many faces
Many men experience violence. They suffer violence. In childhood, on the street, in institutions, or even in relationships. That's why the Violence Against Men Helpline exists. So, if you have experienced violence in any form, or if you no longer want to be one of those who "deal with everything on their own" and are left alone with what has happened to them, then contact the helpline – anonymously, free of charge, and securely.
The helpline "Violence against Men" uses a broad definition of violence: For us, it is not decisive whether what you have suffered is criminally relevant or not. What is crucial is that you are suffering from the boundary violation you have experienced and therefore need support.
Advice and support are available for the following forms of violence:
- Domestic violence
- Sexualized violence
- Psychological violence
- Stalking
- Bullying
- Childhood abuse
- Violence in public spaces
- Digital violence
- Forced marriage
Will my request be treated confidentially?
Yes, your concerns will be treated confidentially: You don't have to give us your name or address over the phone if you don't want to. While registration is required for secure email counseling, it can be done anonymously. You don't need to register for chat counseling. Regarding the violence you experienced, you alone decide what you want to share. Perhaps you'd like to talk about what happened to you in private; perhaps you only need a specific piece of information. Both are perfectly fine.
