To obtain German citizenship, you must prove your German language skills. You will interact with authorities and government offices in Germany. To understand what they want from you, you need to speak German.

Youth integration course

Participation requirements:
People with a migration background who are granted a permanent residence permit for the first time have a legal right to participate in an integration course. If you have an obligation or authorization from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees or the immigration office, you can participate in an integration course. Participation in an integration course is only possible after prior consultation. Please bring all relevant documents (e.g., admission, authorization, exemption from costs) and your valid identification.
Goals:
What is the goal of the course? The goal of the integration course is to successfully pass the final exam. The German B1 certificate exam opens doors: work, training, and German citizenship are within reach. Our extensive network makes it easier for you to contact companies and employers.
Description / Contents:
Participation in this course is designed to help you learn German so you can communicate in everyday life and with government offices and agencies. Being able to write, read, and speak German will make it easier for you to find work. The language course comprises 900 hours and is therefore the most extensive part of the integration course. It focuses on topics such as shopping and housing, health, work, and career. The remaining 100 hours (orientation course) will introduce you to the legal system, history, values, and culture of Germany.

- Funding opportunities: Who pays for the course? We will check whether the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) will cover the costs or grant a subsidy. We will assist you with the application process and also check whether you will be reimbursed for travel expenses or receive a subsidy.
