Services offered by Trauerland eV for adults
Taster groups
Our introductory group program is primarily designed to help children make a decision. However, family members also have the opportunity to get to know our facilities, our services, and our team through these introductory groups, which every 6-8 weeks in Bremen . This is important to us because the Trauerland approach of supporting the whole family also involves regular participation in the facilitated support groups for family members.
Moderated support groups for family members
Alongside the children's bereavement groups, moderated discussion groups for family members are offered in a separate location. This allows caregivers to remain accessible to the children during the bereavement groups. At the same time, the discussion groups provide a safe space for sharing feelings, experiences, and problems, listening to one another, and offering mutual support. These 90-minute groups, like the children's bereavement groups, meet every two weeks at a fixed time .
Group for grieving fathers
To support grieving fathers and, in turn, strengthen the children involved, Trauerland offers a group specifically for fathers whose partner has died and who are now alone with their children. The meetings take place every three weeks (except during school holidays) on Monday evenings. The group explores ways to give space to grief. The aim is to openly discuss grief within the family. This allows for the individual processing of grief by each family member and strengthens the entire family. You can contact the group by email at take place.
