Band workshop for 14-18 year olds
During the autumn break of 2026, young people from Bremen will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in various aspects of music at the "Die Friese" youth center's band camp. The event is offered by the "Die Friese" youth center and the Schlachthof cultural center in cooperation with the Waller Ring secondary school and the Mitte comprehensive school. The camp is aimed at both beginners who want to try their hand at music and young people with prior experience, aged 14-18.
In recent years, several hundred young people have participated in the band camps, which include workshops on band coaching, songwriting, and recording. The organizers have decided to offer another band camp this autumn break. This time, participants will again write their own songs with professional instructors, rehearse together, and jam. The individual workshops are designed so that the young people can immediately apply their new knowledge at home and in their rehearsal space. At the end of the camp, there will be an opportunity to present the results of the workshop days in a concert.
October 19th to 24th, 2026 (Mon-Sat), 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM each day,

Participation is free, food is provided, and the band camp does not take place overnight.
The camp takes place as part of the project “Pop To Go – on the move in life” by the Federal Association of Popular Music eV and is funded by the program “Culture makes you strong – Alliances for Education” through the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
