Explore and discover Bremen's natural surroundings during the summer holidays

Are you between 8 and 12 years old and do you have the desire and time to explore and investigate Bremen's nature in and around waterways with us during the last week of the holidays? Great! Then join us and become a nature explorer.

Together, at three locations, we want to explore questions such as: Are water scorpions found not only in ponds but also in rivers? Where do most dragonflies fly? What defines a natural body of water? And: What methods can be used to study Bremen's wildlife in and around the water?

Day 1 (Tue. 04.08.2026; 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.):
School pond and surroundings in the “Blue Classroom” (Bremen-Borgfeld)

Day 2 (Wed. 05.08.2026; 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.):
Excursion to the northern arm of the Wümme river, Am Hexenberg (Bremen-Borgfeld)

Day 3 (Thursday, August 6, 2026; ATTENTION! 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM):
Excursion to the Uni Randgraben near the DAV climbing center (Bremen Horn-Lehe) with a guided tour by the DAV team and a barbecue.

We will meet in the "Blue Classroom" each morning and end the event there each afternoon. On days 2 and 3, we will cycle together to our excursion destinations (and back). Who knows what else we might discover along the way…

You don't have your own bike and can't borrow one? If you can be driven to and picked up from your destination – no problem! Just let us know.

Registration via email to necessary

Cost: 50 EUR per child (for all three days including food costs for the final barbecue)
