District: Vegesack

The ecology station has been conducting environmental education work in Bremen-Schönebeck for over 40 years and intends to contribute to the understanding of the ecological prerequisites of a viable environment.

The outdoor area, situated on the slopes of the Schönebecker Aue valley, offers visitors of all ages the opportunity to explore a wealth of biotopes across 20 hectares, including natural woodland, wet meadows, an orchard, a stream, ponds, and an insect-friendly garden. Here, visitors can experience biodiversity and understand its importance. Within the wooded area, walkers will find a nature trail. The various stations along the trail invite visitors to engage with nature using all their senses. The accompanying brochure, "Nature Trail," is available at the Hofmeierhaus or can be downloaded from the website.
