The railway mission provides assistance to travelers upon request. It also serves as a point of contact for many people, including the homeless, alcoholics, and those with mental illnesses.
What many don't know: The train station mission is an ecumenical project. In Bremen, it is run by Caritas and the Association for Inner Mission. We enable many people to truly "arrive," not least through short devotional services in the room of silence.
In total, we have around 50,000 contacts per year. This assistance is only possible thanks to a great deal of volunteer work and donations.
Every guest is warmly welcomed and can stay in our premises for a certain amount of time. We are always available to listen if you need someone to talk to.
We also provide information and support if you have communication difficulties. For example, if you are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, or speech impaired.
We also offer rest and breastfeeding facilities for your children.
Should your journey come to a standstill or if you need a break, we can help you with accommodation and lodging options.
We also help with boarding, changing and disembarking (we also have wheelchairs) and accompany unaccompanied children (“Kids on Tour”) – for example, those who travel frequently due to their parents' separation.
