The Bremen State Office for Addiction Issues (BreLS) eV is a non-profit association of organizations and associations active in addiction support and prevention in the state of Bremen. These include associations of independent welfare organizations, addiction support facilities, self-help group associations, and abstinence associations.
The aims and tasks of the state office are to advise and support members through participation in political bodies, organization of working groups and committees, mediation of grant funding, and public relations work.
She organizes training and further education for employees in Bremen's addiction support system.
Furthermore, it offers support to individuals directly or indirectly affected by addiction problems in finding suitable institutions that can provide them with help. This includes information on self-help groups, counseling centers, outpatient rehabilitation and aftercare facilities, detoxification centers, and specialized clinics for inpatient rehabilitation treatment.
