The bke offers professional online counseling services for young people and parents. Like counseling at our in-person family and parenting centers, bke's online counseling is free of charge. On these websites, young people and their parents will find three options: Group and individual chats moderated by psychologists, educators, or social workers are available at set times; confidential individual counseling is offered; and open forums, also moderated by bke professionals, can be accessed. The pilot project was conceived by bke, the professional association for educational and family counseling based in Fürth. The program is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. In addition, the federal states contribute counselor resources proportional to their respective populations.
