You long for a baby, but it's not happening. Soon the questions arise: Is it me? Is it you? What are we doing wrong? You've decided to come to us with these questions. We thank you sincerely for your trust.
Having a child of your own is wonderful. But it's not everything. Your head says, "Yes, that's true." Your heart, however, says, "Easier said than done!" Many couples feel the same way. Did you know that in Germany today, approximately one in seven marriages is involuntarily childless?
Modern medicine offers us many ways to help you. But one thing it cannot do is guarantee you a child. In everything we discuss together, everything we decide, whatever hopes and desires you may have – please always remember that life is a gift.
If it arises, accept it. If it doesn't, you must accept that too. Should you feel alone, we recommend contacting our social worker.
Since the introduction of the 2004 healthcare reform (GMG), the situation for involuntarily childless couples has fundamentally changed. Statutory health insurance companies now only cover 50% of the costs for all procedures of so-called "artificial insemination." Marriage is a prerequisite for cost coverage, a fact recently confirmed by the Federal Court of Justice (BGH).
Further conditions are that the woman must be between 25 and 40 years old and the man between 25 and 50 years old. Both partners must be HIV negative and must not have undergone sterilization.
Our services aim to help you better understand the causes and treatment options for involuntary childlessness. Thanks to modern treatment methods, we can now help couples who, just a few years ago, had no chance of having a child of their own.
