The Bremen-Bremerhaven agency district includes, in addition to the main agency Bremen at Doventorsteinweg, the Bremerhaven branch office, the Bremen-Mitte branch office, Bremen-Vegesack and the Osterholz-Scharmbeck branch office, which serves the Osterholz district.
The Bremen Career Information Center (BIZ) at Doventorsteinweg 44, directly opposite the main entrance of the main employment agency, is set up as an internet center and offers a variety of free internet workstations for job and career searches. In addition, the BIZ's media library provides a selection of printed materials on career and study choices.
The Career Information Centre at the Bremerhaven branch office is located in the office building at Grimsbystr. 1 and offers the same service as the BIZ in Bremen.
According to the German Social Code, Book III (SGB III) – Employment Promotion, the Bremen-Bremerhaven Employment Agency, as one of the offices of the Federal Employment Agency, is entrusted with tasks intended to support a balanced labor market. Based on SGB III, the core tasks of the Bremen-Bremerhaven Employment Agency include:
