According to the German Social Code, Book III (SGB III) – Employment Promotion, the Bremen-Bremerhaven Employment Agency, as one of the offices of the Federal Employment Agency, is entrusted with tasks intended to support a balanced labor market. Based on SGB III, the core tasks of the Bremen-Bremerhaven Employment Agency include:

• Career guidance for young people, first-year students and university graduates
• Placement of apprenticeships and jobs
• Employer consulting
• Promotion of vocational education and training and vocational rehabilitation
• Provision of benefits to maintain and create jobs
• Payment of wage replacement benefits in cases of unemployment, short-time work or insolvency
• Promoting equal opportunities for women and men
• Information about the labor and training market as well as about the services and benefits of employment promotion, including the compilation of statistics
• Payment of child benefit

Thursdays: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. + 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m
