And why at the International Federation?

Good question. But we also have good answers: The International Federation has been a recognized and active provider of the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) since 1963. This means we have a wealth of experience to professionally support you during your FSJ. We are also a recognized central office for the Federal Volunteer Service.

Our educational staff will support you throughout your entire placement. Joint seminars (at least 5 seminar weeks for a twelve-month placement) offer you the opportunity to exchange ideas with other volunteers, explore exciting topics, and use your free time to get to know each other.

Of course, you're fully covered!
As a volunteer with the International Federation, you are naturally covered by social security and health insurance. You may also be entitled to child benefit during your time as a volunteer in the Federal Voluntary Service (FSJ or BFD). We pay you a monthly allowance for your volunteer service, and you have 26 days of vacation per year.
