As a training institute, it provides training for both adults and children/adolescents and is state-approved under the Psychotherapists Act (PsychThG), as well as being recognized as a continuing education institute under the continuing education regulations for physicians.
The training and further education is carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the DGPT and the training section of the VAKJP, as psychoanalytic and depth-psychologically based training.

For parents with babies and toddlers | 0 to 3 years
Daily life with babies and toddlers is, for most parents, filled with both expectations and many anxieties. Especially in the first months and years of a child's life, questions and uncertainties arise regarding normal development.
For example:
- If you had imagined pregnancy and childbirth differently and you are struggling to cope with the experiences,
- You feel sad or stressed with the baby and the new situation,
- Your baby cries frequently and is difficult to soothe,
- Your baby wakes up frequently and you can no longer find peace and quiet,
- Your child doesn't drink well or often refuses food,
- There is something wrong with the contact between you and your baby,
- They can no longer enjoy the baby,
- It is restless and doesn't want to fully engage in any game
- Your child is too clingy, or conversely, doesn't want to allow any physical closeness,
- Your child doesn't want to speak
- They have their own psychological difficulties or problems in their relationship that are weighing on them
Such questions, difficulties, and concerns can strain family life. Early support can prevent initial difficulties from developing into serious problems. Our baby clinic offers the opportunity to understand and resolve persistent problems together using a specialized therapeutic approach (infant-toddler-parent psychotherapy).
Our baby clinic consists of a team of experienced psychoanalysts specializing in children and adolescents, with an understanding of the psychological processes that are significant at the beginning of the relationship between mother, father, and baby. In baby/toddler-parent psychotherapy, everyone attends together. Usually, just a few sessions are enough to identify the problem and develop solutions.

For parents with children | 3 to 14 years
It's a normal part of growing up for children and adolescents to experience difficulties. This isn't always a sign of mental illness, as no child's development is without its ups and downs. However, you as parents may feel unsettled by persistent difficulties, or teachers, educators, or doctors may have drawn your attention to problems that you should investigate.
If your child's behavior has changed noticeably recently:
- withdraws
- no longer wants to play with other children
- is inattentive at school, no longer enjoys going to school
- becomes aggressive more often, repeatedly wants to argue with other children, siblings, or you
- something disturbing
- cannot fall asleep at night or wakes up repeatedly during the night, has nightmares
- repeatedly exhibits recurring actions, thoughts, or tics
- has physical illnesses and suffers from them
- repeatedly complains of headaches, stomach aches, and nausea
- wets himself or wets himself again or soils himself
- unusual eating behavior
- if you are experiencing family burdens that you feel overwhelmed by
Then we can determine together whether your child needs psychotherapy or if other measures are recommended. Our outpatient clinic employs teams of experienced, practicing child and adolescent psychotherapists, as well as child and adolescent psychotherapists currently undergoing training at our institute.
