District: Schwachhausen

Almost everyone experiences emotional highs and lows. This isn't always a sign of mental illness, as ups and downs are a part of life. However, persistent crises can leave you feeling insecure. If existing solutions or conversations with trusted friends are no longer enough to help you regain your inner balance, seeking psychotherapeutic support can be beneficial.

Reasons for therapy

The reasons for patients to come to our outpatient clinic are usually mental health problems, which can manifest emotionally, in social behavior, and physically. These include, for example:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Compulsions, tics
  • Eating disorders
  • Contact and relationship disorders
  • Personality disorders
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder
  • physical complaints without a medical diagnosis
  • Concentration and work disorders
  • Sleep disorders
  • sexual problems
  • self-harming behavior
  • acute stress situations
  • physical/emotional/sexual violence
  • Uncertainty in gender identity

The therapy

In analytical and psychodynamic psychotherapy, we assume that underlying psychological conflicts lie behind symptoms of illness. During treatment, you will be supported in expressing, understanding, and resolving these psychological conflicts through therapeutic dialogue. New problem-solving strategies and behaviors can be developed within the therapeutic relationship. An individualized treatment plan will be created for this purpose.
