Child and youth welfare in Bremen
The Hans Wendt Foundation is a recognized independent provider of child and youth welfare services in Bremen. Supporting children and young people during difficult times, empowering them, and strengthening them for a fulfilling, self-determined life – that is the task we tackle anew every day. For over 100 years.
Today, our approximately 400 employees dedicate their knowledge, experience, and convictions to supporting young people and their families. We are there for them at 39 locations in and around Bremen, offering outpatient, day-care, and inpatient services tailored to individual needs.
Hans-Wendt gGmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hans-Wendt Foundation. It operates a total of seven children's homes in Bremen. Furthermore, the Hans-Wendt Foundation has a stake in the non-profit initiative Junge Stadt gGmbH and in Bahia Clearingstelle Bremen gGmbH.
Making a lasting impact. Out of responsibility for the future.
Those who work with children, young people, and families are working together with them on their future. The question is not only: How do I want to live in this world? But also: What kind of world awaits me?
That's why sustainability is important to us in all areas – from the impact of our aid to environmental and climate protection. After all, we live in a world with finite resources. We support the right to a healthy environment so that children can grow up healthy today and tomorrow.
