The Bremen Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KV) comprises all physicians, psychotherapists, and child and adolescent psychotherapists participating in outpatient care. Currently, there are 1823 of them in Bremen and Bremerhaven.
As a public corporation, the Bremen Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KV Bremen) is more than just a service organization for its members. It represents their interests on the one hand, and on the other hand, it exercises supervisory and disciplinary functions over its members (guarantee mandate). In addition, it has a further sovereign task: the KV Bremen ensures outpatient care in the state of Bremen (guarantee mandate).
