Lidice House Youth Education Center

Our youth education center is an extracurricular learning venue for political youth education in Bremen. Here, young people, young adults, and professionals meet to acquire key skills for their personal lives and for the success of a democratic and just society.

Through our youth and educational work, we support a society based on solidarity, justice, and diversity. Our goal is to collaboratively develop democratic ways of life and participation. We encourage young people to trust in the effectiveness of their own actions and to make their voices heard in democratic processes.

Our youth education center is also an attractive event venue with modern facilities and overnight accommodation for up to 80 guests. This makes it a perfect location for seminars and conferences for external groups as well.

The Lidice House is located on the Stadtwerder peninsula in Bremen: about 2 kilometers as the crow flies from Bremen's city center, yet surrounded by greenery. We have an experiential learning area and plenty of space for outdoor sports activities. The Werdersee lake is right nearby, offering a refreshing dip in the summer.

LidiceHaus gGmbH includes the LidiceHaus youth education center on the Stadtwerder peninsula and the ServiceBureau Jugendinformation (Youth Information Service Bureau) with its own premises in Bremen city center.

In addition, the Lidice House currently houses three specialist and advisory centers dealing with right-wing extremism:

• The Federal Office for Right-Wing Extremism and Family (RuF) is the central federal coordination and specialist office for issues relating to the connection between right-wing extremism and group-focused enmity, as well as their significance for socialization, attitude formation, and family life.
• soliport is an independent counselling centre for victims of right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence in Bremerhaven and Bremen
• The Mobile Advisory Team against Right-Wing Extremism (mbt) provides advice and support on all questions and concerns in the areas of right-wing extremism, racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of group-related hostility in Bremen and Bremerhaven.
