Together – For each other

In Bremen, four neighborhood centers are being funded as "multi-generational houses" through the federal program "multi-generational house" of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and through municipal subsidies.

In 2021, a new funding phase began, offering Bremen's multigenerational houses planning security for eight years.

The focus of the new federal program is to strengthen our democracy and social cohesion, promote digital skills, and commit to ecological sustainability. The multigenerational centers are intended to contribute to creating good development opportunities and fair participation

They offer a comprehensive range of group activities and counselling for families from newborns to grandparents. They provide expert guidance and referrals to further support services for all kinds of family matters.

Families can get involved in self-help groups and develop their own new ideas to improve the situation for families.
