Parent-Child Center Prof. Hess

The Prof. Hess Parent-Child Center is one of the largest and most modern children's hospitals in Germany. With the establishment of the Prof. Hess Parent-Child Center at the Bremen-Mitte Hospital, one of the largest and most modern children's hospitals in Germany has been created.

The Prof. Hess Parent-Child Center at Bremen-Mitte Hospital is a health center for children, adolescents, pregnant women, and families. Various medical departments work closely together under one roof. These include obstetrics, pediatrics, pediatric surgery and urology, neonatology, and pediatric intensive care.

The center supports families from pregnancy and birth through to the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The close proximity of the various specialties allows specialists to collaborate quickly when needed. This is particularly important in cases of complicated pregnancies, premature births, serious illnesses, or when children require specialized medical care.

In addition to inpatient treatments, the services include various specialized outpatient clinics, day clinics, and a pediatric emergency department. The pediatric emergency department provides care for young patients with acute illnesses and injuries.

The focus is on the child and their family. In addition to medical and nursing care, the parent-child center therefore also addresses psychosocial needs. Counseling, training, and support services can help families cope with illnesses and particularly stressful situations.
