Mobile counselling against right-wing extremism

Antisemitic graffiti at school, right-wing cliques in the neighborhood, racist incidents at work, or conspiracy theories at the sports club? We offer advice and support for all questions and concerns related to right-wing extremism, racism, antisemitism, and all forms of group-based hostility in Bremen and Bremerhaven.

Our advice is human rights-oriented and free of charge. We provide short-term, unbureaucratic support, and, if needed, outreach and anonymously.

Our goal is to support solidarity-based, civil society engagement on the ground and to strengthen democratic culture against racist, anti-Semitic and other notions of inequality.

Through lectures and discussions, training courses and our publications, we raise awareness of developments that threaten democratic coexistence – not least in the so-called middle of society.

If you notice far-right tendencies or activities in your community, school, clubs or – simply put – in your environment, please feel free to contact us.

Advice

How do I counter right-wing argumentation patterns? How should I react to racist incidents? How can a democratic structure be developed and strengthened in schools or clubs?

Our advisory services support you with these and other questions and concerns in the areas of right-wing extremism, racism, anti-Semitism and group-related hostility.

Our offer is open to everyone who has a human rights-oriented concern, e.g.:

  • Individuals and multipliers
  • Civil society groups and networks
  • (Sports) clubs and associations
  • Schools and kindergartens
  • Churches and religious communities
  • Social and cultural institutions
  • Local and state politics
  • Local and state administration
  • Businesses and companies
  • Trade unions
  • other institutions

External expert support helps to better understand and classify incidents and developments, in order to then develop sustainable solutions on this basis, possibly in collaboration with other local stakeholders.

We offer free, straightforward, and confidential consultations, and can also provide in-person and anonymous visits upon request. Our staff are qualified, and our work is geared towards the long term.

A central principle of our work is sustainable support for self-help. Therefore, we provide needs-based and resource-oriented support to strengthen the agency of those we advise.

The aim is to strengthen civil society and public actors in the fight against right-wing extremism, racism, anti-Semitism and other notions of inequality, and thus to promote democratic culture.

The consultation can take place either in the centrally accessible premises of the Mobile Advisory Team or, if necessary, on site or via video call.

In addition to providing advice on specific occasions, we network local actors, research far-right activities and attacks in Bremen and Bremerhaven, organize specialist events and offer information material on the topics of right-wing extremism, anti-Semitism and group-related hostility.

The work of the Mobile Advisory Team is based on human rights principles and methodological standards that are regularly evaluated. We are part of a nationwide structure and networked with Mobile Advisory Teams from other federal states.
