For 35 years, in collaboration with artists and cultural professionals, we have been creating projects for cultural education through practical experience right where people live: in their neighborhoods. Children, young people, and adults from diverse backgrounds produce art of high quality.
The results are presented in exhibitions, dance performances, and theater productions. Regardless of their backgrounds, people come together in our projects to make Bremen a better place to live. We are constantly developing new forms of work and presentation to involve as many people as possible and make the presentations accessible to a broad public. Our work has received numerous awards nationwide.
The core of all our projects is empowering people to actively shape their environment. We provide artists, spaces, and ideas to try new things and discover their own abilities. This fundamental principle of our long-standing project work will also be reflected in all future offerings.
