The Regional Counseling and Support Center West (ReBUZ West) is a contact point for students, parents, and schools in Bremen's western districts. It offers advice and support for questions, difficulties, and challenges related to school, learning, and the personal development of children and young people.
The tasks of the ReBUZ include counseling, diagnostics, support, and prevention. In addition, they offer school support measures and special learning groups for students who temporarily require extra support.
Parents and students can contact the ReBUZ (Regional Counseling Center for Educational Support) with a variety of concerns. These include learning and performance problems, reading and spelling difficulties (dyslexia), math difficulties, and language and speech issues. Support is also available for school avoidance, giftedness, and questions about educational pathways and transitions between schools. Further counseling topics relate to socio-emotional development. These include, for example, autism, violence, addiction, and psycho-sexual development. The ReBUZ also offers advice and guidance in cases of discrimination, sexualized violence, and crises within the school environment.
A special service offered by ReBUZ West is coaching for exam anxiety in upper secondary school students. They also offer telephone consultations on the topic of dyslexia. ReBUZ West is responsible for the districts and schools in Bremen's western districts. Information on how to contact them, for advice, and to register can be found on their website.
