In the Neustadt district, the Käthe Social Campus is being created as a place where social work, care, counseling, and education go hand in hand. People with support needs, families, children, counselors, and neighbors will find space here to live, learn, and come together.
The campus represents a modern, inclusive community and is consciously opening up to the surrounding neighborhood, likely in the second half of 2026. The Bremen social services authority is a key financial backer for the realization of the Käthe Social Campus.
Campus offerings – One site, many opportunities
- Daycare center – Early childhood education and care
- Kitchen – catering for different locations
- The old building will house transitional housing for people who require support due to, for example, a stroke, severely limited mobility, dialysis treatment, or blindness. A total of 155 places will be created in the old building, including places for caregivers and other individuals.
- New building – consultation and work areas, and housing options for people with support needs
- Guided tour – The social campus as an open space for the neighborhood

Advice, support, integration – services on campus
At the Käthe Social Campus, the Bremen-based Inner Mission Association provides key services and parts of its offerings. It also offers space to other organizations to implement their programs. The campus stands for concrete assistance, individualized counseling, and lived solidarity. This diversity makes the campus a place where people not only receive help but can also actively participate.
