sfd Bremen has been working in the field of civilian service and youth volunteer services for almost 50 years. Our long-standing experience and unique profile have made sfd Bremen one of the largest volunteer service providers in Bremen.

The sfd Bremen is not only an intermediary for young and older people to participate in voluntary service, but also sees itself as a politically engaged association that bases its activities on a specific guiding principle. Many of our seminars and events therefore deal with political topics.

Each year, we support approximately 300 volunteers at over 180 placement sites. If you are looking for a competent organization to support your voluntary social year (FSJ), federal voluntary service (BFD), or voluntary ecological year (FÖJ) in Bremen, we are the right partner for you. We would be happy to discuss with you in person how and whether a volunteer placement is feasible at your chosen location.

What other advantages does the sfd offer?

• In case of conflicts with the volunteers, we are quick to respond.
• We offer further training courses for employees at your place of work once or twice a year.
• We will visit your institution to talk to the supervisors about the development of the volunteers.
• Arrangements with us can be clarified quickly.
• Due to our hiring structure (August – October; December to February), we can often absorb dropouts and changes.
