The Sasu youth center in Oberneuland is an open youth center for children and young people between 10 and 21 years old.
Youth Center Citizens'
Initiative was founded in 1973. The building, formerly a primary school, underwent extensive renovations until the "Sasu" (collection of odds and ends) took its current form.
Center
has approximately 300 square meters of usable space. The central meeting point is the tea room with a kitchen. The ground floor also houses a staff office and a large event room. Upstairs, there is a games room (billiards, air hockey, and foosball) and a computer room/recording studio. The new Sasu building contains a sports hall with judo mats, which can be used by young people during free hours, depending on availability.
During school holidays, recreational activities, workshops, renovation projects, and other hands-on activities take place. In the mornings, the youth center is available for external users such as schools and kindergartens.
