"Out of fear of reprisals, not all victims dare to go to the police or speak out publicly. Not every act of violence is reported, and therefore it can be difficult to prevent in the future, because perpetrators feel safe and can commit further crimes without fear of prosecution. It is for these reasons, among others, that the Bremen police continue to provide the community with a professional contact person."
