Advice and services at the Bremen advice center

We offer expert and free support on your journey to a mother/father-child rehabilitation program. We are happy to answer your questions in a personal consultation or by phone. We also handle inquiries from outside Bremen. We will provide you with the necessary application forms and take care of submitting the application to your health insurance provider.

Before the start of the course, we invite you to a preparatory meeting at the counseling center. You will receive support with travel arrangements, as well as specific information about your arrival. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to get to know other course participants before the program begins.

After the treatment, we will support you, if needed, in finding special advice centers, self-help groups, a therapy place or health courses to consolidate the success of the treatment.

We have many years of experience in advising on health resort stays. Our advisory center has been operating since 1984. Through close collaboration with specialized clinics, we have in-depth knowledge of their facilities, programs, and equipment, ensuring optimal advice.

About the German Working Group for Family Support

We are a non-profit organization operating four mother/father-child specialist clinics for mother-child or father-child rehabilitation stays in the sunny and most beautiful highlands of the Black Forest, a facility in North Frisia near the North Sea, close to the Wadden Sea and nature reserve, and another facility in East Holstein directly on the Baltic Sea coast.

All our inpatient specialist clinics meet the medical requirements and are headed by a suitably qualified specialist physician. The size of our clinics allows for individualized care for our patients of all ages.

The facilities in the southern Black Forest and on the Baltic Sea, with a capacity of 41–66 families, offer a good opportunity for a manageable, trusting, and individualized atmosphere. Our Norderheide clinic, near the North Sea, is designed like a village with various residential buildings, children's houses, and treatment buildings.

One of our core principles is to offer full-day childcare in all our clinics. This means childcare is not limited to treatment times or mornings, but is available both mornings and afternoons at least five days a week, excluding Sundays and public holidays. This is the foundation for successful treatment outcomes.

It goes without saying that all our hospital kitchens prepare fresh meals and do not use an external caterer. The high number of individual dietary requirements in our hospitals confirms the necessity and high acceptance of our service.

Well over 90% of our adult patients receive individual treatments and personalized massages in our physiotherapy departments. Here, too, we maintain high standards to ensure high patient satisfaction. Achieving high patient satisfaction is a daily challenge we meet with great dedication.

To round off our work, the organization has its own advice centers that offer advice on preventive and rehabilitative measures for mother-child and father-child spa treatments and are also available for follow-up consultations.

To make the work easier for the clinics and to allow them to fully concentrate on treating patients, overarching organizational and administrative tasks are carried out in our main office in Kirchzarten.
