The counseling centers for children, adolescents, and families run by the Bremen Office for Social Services offer parenting advice and support with personal and family issues, challenges, and conflicts. The teams consist of professionals from the fields of social work, education, psychology, and psychotherapy.
The service is aimed at children, adolescents, young adults, (expectant) parents, families, and other caregivers. Adolescents can also contact a counseling center without their parents.
Counseling is available, for example, when parents have questions about their child's development and upbringing, when family life is difficult, or when conflicts are causing stress. Other topics can include separation and divorce, custody arrangements, differing parenting styles, or personal problems of children and adolescents. Young people can find support for issues such as conflicts at home, difficulties with friends, heartbreak, traumatic experiences, or other worries.
The aim of parenting counseling is to jointly understand the specific situation, strengthen existing resources, and develop suitable solutions and courses of action. In addition to in-person meetings, telephone, video, and online counseling are also available, depending on the service.
The consultation is free and confidential. The consultants are bound by legal confidentiality. Consultations can be anonymous upon request. Interpreters can be provided if needed. The responsible counseling center depends on your place of residence in Bremen.

You can also leave a message on the answering machine and we will call you back as soon as possible. Consultations with interpreters are also possible.
