Assisted living clean Vegesack

The parent-child home is a substance-free, outpatient residential and support program for families affected by addiction. Living in community with other affected parents and children, they shape their lives independently and abstinently.

Parents receiving substitution therapy can be admitted under the following conditions:

  • No use
  • Support and consent of the youth welfare office

With the consent of the youth welfare office, we can reunite children with their families. A personal meeting is a prerequisite for any placement plan.

Reside

This detached single-family home in Grohn/Vegesack is surrounded by good infrastructure. All essential amenities are within easy walking distance (public transport, shops, schools, kindergartens and doctors).

We designed the rooms so that the parents' room and the children's room are adjacent. Despite living alongside other families, privacy is still possible for each family.

  • 3 x master bedrooms with adjoining children's rooms
  • 1 x Shared kitchen-living room
  • 1 living room, 2 bathrooms
  • Garden
  • The kitchen, bathroom, group room and garden are shared and kept tidy together

The families' living arrangements are based on the principles of a therapeutic group home. The staff provides support throughout the families' lives. If eligible for benefits under the German Social Code, Book II (SGB II), the costs of the accommodation are covered by the Job Center. Individuals with earned income pay their own rent. Our office on Hermann-Fortmann-Straße is approximately an 8-minute walk from the parent-child home.

Assistance services

Integration and participation in social life without substance abuse are realistic goals that can be achieved with support. We don't have all the answers, but we will work together to find your answers and solutions.

In guided and mandatory group and individual discussions, residents can address their needs and develop strategies for coping. Accompaniment to important appointments is available upon request.

  • Individual and group discussions
  • Accompanying people to appointments with authorities and offices, for example
  • Initiation of debt settlement
  • Career guidance
  • Crisis interventions
  • Planning suitable leisure activities
  • Cooperation with the youth welfare office
  • Abstinence checks
  • Joint group leisure activities
  • Support in educational matters
  • And much more

The cost approval is issued by the Social Services Office. The social services office's cost approval covers the assistance services. Rent and living expenses are covered by the Job Center if the individual is eligible for benefits. Those employed in the primary labor market cover these costs themselves. Whether a co-payment for the assistance services is required depends on the individual's income.

Cooperation is important to us. The life situations of the applicants and their children involve various support systems. In order to offer effective support, these systems must work together and pull in the same direction. This is only possible with the necessary transparency.

Cooperation with the family to promote and maintain the child's welfare can only take place with the involvement of the youth welfare office.

If we have sparked your interest, please give us a call; we would be happy to advise you.
