Holiday program for children aged 6 and over
with the historian Jens Buttgereit
For almost 50 years, Anker stone building sets were among the most popular construction sets. With the colored stones made of quartz sand, chalk, and linseed oil, children could build imaginative and realistic structures. Even back then, the building instructions were methodically coordinated. At the time, these sets were very expensive and an unfulfilled wish for many families.
During a short tour of the children's museum, historian Jens Buttgereit explains the Anker stone building blocks and other toys. Afterwards, children and families can build and construct themselves using original Anker building blocks and metal toys.
